Okuma LC 40

The following Okuma LC 40 for sale is a two-axis machine and has been completely rebuilt, upgraded and retrofitted with a Fanuc O iTF Plus CNC control system as follows:
The machine was stripped completely.
The Z axis and tailstock slide were reground.
The tailstock body was scraped in to the reground slide.
The Z axis saddle and gibs have been scraped in.
New ballscrew support bearings have been fitted.
A new X axis ballscrew has been fitted.
The X axis slide has been reground.
The X-axis saddle has been reground and scraped in.
The turret has been completely and stripped and serviced.
The coolant supply to the turret has been modified to go through the toolpost.
All covers have been redesigned, shot blasted then powder coated.
A new robust sliding door handle has been fitted.
New door rollers and top guide system has been fitted.
New safety glasses have been fitted on both sliding doors.
The sliding guards have been extensively modified to eliminate the telescopic covers on the Z axis, the roller system has been replaced with a single stainless-steel cover on the Z axis and a barrel roller cover on the RHS of the turret.
New wipers have been fitted on the headstock plate to the stainless-steel sliding cover.
New slide wipers have been fitted.
A new spacer has been fitted under the turret to bring it back onto centre.
New spacers have been fitted under the tailstock to bring it back on to centre.
A complete new hydraulic power pack with radiator to keep the oil cool has been fitted.
New hydraulic pipes have been fitted.
A complete new slideway and ball-screw lubrication system with fixed discharge metering units has been fitted.
The axis pulleys for the servo motors have been modified to use locking elements.
New timing belts have been fitted.
New servo motor adapter plates to suit Fanuc servo motors have been manufactured.
A new timing belt to spindle encoder has been fitted.
New sight glasses on the coolant tank and spindle lubrication tank have been fitted.
A complete new electrical hardware cabinet with heat exchanger has been fitted.
Complete new switchgear has been installed and the machine has been totally rewired.
The control pendant on the RHS door has been fitted with a new faceplate to suit the Fanuc Plus Oi-TF CNC.
22 Nm Fanuc servos and 30 kW Fanuc main spindle motor have been fitted.
Modified and fitted new flexible trunking on the X and Z axes.
New trunking to the CNC control pendant has been fitted. This is the one in the front of the machine.
A new machine light has been fitted.
An additional coolant pump has been installed, one for the cutting tools and the second to flush the Z axis covers.
Both the 2 and 3 jaw chucks have been stripped, serviced and reassembled, the faces have been ground for cosmetic reasons. They are both still in good condition.
6 new boring bar holders have been manufactured.
6 boring bar reducing bushes of your choice will be supplied.
A new swarf conveyor has been manufactured and installed.
Plus a lot of used soft jaws for the 3 jaw chuck

800mm between centers. 2-Jaw and 3-Jaw Chucks are fully reconditioned and are 500mm in diameter.
